Mary is a superb practitioner! She is so knowledgeable about her field, but also is a terrific, empathetic listener with a lot of patience. Her calm demeanor is warm and friendly, and I feel very relaxed in her presence. Her suggested exercises, plus the right splint, improved my hand issues dramatically. I will continue to follow up with her as required. I highly recommend her!!

I’ve only had an initial visit with Mary, but my husband and I were impressed with her knowledge, compassion and flexibility in working with us. Though I’ve just started with the exercises she recommended, I feel that they are helping. She is giving me some hope in overcoming a difficult problem with my hand.

Self-care Awareness

Self-care is a doctrine of Occupational Therapy. Basic self-care covers everyday living skills such as bathing and dressing oneself. An extension to the traditional meaning of Self-care, self treatment techniques allow many patients to treat their own condition. Many conditions of the hand and upper extremities are initially treated through a prescription of self-care.
